RCNM at the Old Highland Peace Garden, April 19, 2019
Members of the Rotary Club of North Minneapolis (RCNM) assisted in prepping the Old Highland Peace Garden for the season on April 19. The RCNM has had a longstanding association with the Peace Garden, run by the Old Highland Neighborhood Association of north Minneapolis.
Upcoming events at the busy Old Highland Peace Garden include:
May 11th - Planting 10am - 4pm
May 29th - Plant Swap 4pm -8pm *any leftover plants we have, along with any neighbors that want to swap plants and flowers on the condition that it's free.
June 22nd - Raptor Center 11:30am -12:30pm. We will grill items
July - Open Eye Figure Theater TBA *still awaiting set date and time for this
August 6th 5pm - 9pm - National Night Out. We will grill items, and people are welcomed to bring potluck food as well. We have street permit too.
August 29th - Ice-cream Social.
September date TBA - Regular garden get together, likely a Saturday late afternoon or evening
October 12th - Put the Garden to sleep. 10 am - 2pm.
Garden work dates will be every Saturday from 9am -12 noon. We will have light breakfast items and juice/coffee for folks.
Minneapolis Nature Preschool Playdates will be on Tuesdays 9:30am - 10:30am. June: 11th, 18th, 25th July: 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th August: 6th, 13th, 20th
