Lowry Street Cleanup and Violence Prevention project!
The clean-up Club
On a hot, humid, sweltering Friday evening, members of the Club participated in a street clean-up event in one of our communities neighborhoods. Lowry Avenue is a busy street and provided the Club an opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to the community. The Club also handed out our Pledge cards, asking community members to support peace and act on violence prevention in the community. VJ Smith, President of MAD DADS, a social activism organization, and founding member of the Club, distribute hot dogs to anyone taking the Peace Pledge.
